There Are Ways to Find Cheaper Car Insurance
You don’t have to be able to spell cheap car insurance you just have to find it. Cheap car insurance it seems is going the way of the “Dodo” bird but there is definitely a way to get cheaper car insurance.
There is no point in paying for bells and whistles that you will never ring or blow but by the same measure, there is no point in having less insurance than what you are most likely to actually need.
Some insurance companies inflate their prospectuses with “Rolls Royce” coverage options for you to pay for but you would have to be either the world’s worst driver or someone who had a penchant for out-of-the-way places or for bad accidents on a daily basis. Before choosing one or some of these options, ask yourself “what is the likelihood of me needing that?” and if the answer comes back, that you are unlikely to be stuck in a sand dune this year then the answer is probably “No, you don’t need the Desert Rescue” clause this year.
Unless you are an Aussie Farmer, and you decide to take a “flood, fire and feral” clause on the off-chance the drought will break and it floods as is quite usual at the end of a long, dry spell.
Seriously, don’t buy what you don’t need. OK, flood and storm damage is essential coverage for auto insurance in Australia and I have every belief, it is probably so the world over these days with the unpredictable climate change happening everywhere. Fire is a good coverage to have because if you live in Australia and get caught in a bush fire you will be needing this. If you live in a big city somewhere where there is street crime, it would be a good cover to have. Theft and fire are essential insurances for auto insurance cover.
When someone breaks into your car it is such an invasion of privacy. The emotions this brings out of feeling violated is surprising, so make sure you have full cover for theft, fire and replacement damage.
If it sounds like we are ticking boxes here of what we need, would like and don’t want, you would be quite right. This is the way a good insurance company will insure you and you can do this online and get two, three or more quotes at the same time. It is a huge time saver and good money management.
There is no point in paying for what you don’t need; there is no point in not being adequately insured for potential mishaps; and there is no point in wasting time. I’m sure you have better things to do than sit on the end of a phone or stand for ages in a queue chasing cheap car insurance.
